If you are having trouble paying your fuel bill, there is assistance available! New York State, through the federal Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and NYSEG Utility Customers through a program called Project SHARE administered by the American Red Cross, have financial resources available to those individuals who qualify. Listed below are the telephone numbers for Project Share and HEAP which are administered on a County By County basis.
