(Binghamton, NY) Ron Sall, President of the Downtown Binghamton Business Association, will join Jason Mirabito, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Mirabito Energy Products, and other business representatives at a Press Conference, Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 am in the MetroCenter lobby. At that time, details regarding the 57th Annual Columbus Day Tournament of Bands Parade and Italian Festival will be announced.
The parade offers competition for high school bands, color guards and drum majors in three different classes. The event is sanctioned by the New York Federation of Contest Judges for Marching Bands. Entries are currently being accepted and trophies and cash prizes will be awarded. The parade starts at 10:00 am on Monday, October 10 at the corner of Arthur and Main Streets. It will travel down Court Street and finish on State Street.
The Mirabito Columbus Day Tournament of Bands Parade will also host an Italian Festival on Water Street, next to Boscov’s. Members of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Parish, the Abruzzese Club and the Sons of Italy will offer food and beverages as fundraising events. New Yorkers of Italian descent have made their rich cultural heritage, their strong family values, and their love of fine foods a tradition which has passed from generation to generation. Other community groups are invited to participate in the parade. Please contact Ron Sall at 607-722-7780 for details.
