Binghamton, NY – Mirabito Cares is proud to announce that beginning Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Mirabito Convenience Stores across New York and Pennsylvania will once again partner with the American Cancer Society (ACS) for a Round Up campaign, giving customers the opportunity to support cancer patients and their families in our communities. From October 1 through November 2, customers of Mirabito’s 112 convenience store locations will have the option to round up their purchases at checkout or donate through QR codes at the fuel pumps.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our customers and a donation from the company, Mirabito presented ACS with $90,000 in support of cancer patients across our communities (www.mirabito.com/breast-cancer-round-up-2024). The impact was immediate and local, reaching patients and families right within our store market area. According to the American Cancer Society’s impact report, dollars raised helped provide:
- 702 patients served locally
- 10,306 nights at Hope Lodge (free lodging near treatment centers)
- 1,019 rides to treatment appointments
- 81 calls answered by trained Cancer Information Specialists at the 24/7 National Cancer Information Center
- Over $1.3 million in cost savings for local patients
This year, Mirabito aims to raise even more to expand the reach of these life-saving services for cancer patients and families.
“Cancer touches so many families across our region, and we’re proud to continue this partnership with the American Cancer Society to make a difference in the lives of those affected,” said Marissa Sweeney, Senior Marketing Director for Mirabito Holdings, Inc. “Through the generosity of our customers and our company contributions, we are able to ensure that patients in our communities receive the support they need when they need it most.”
“The American Cancer Society is deeply grateful for Mirabito and their customers’ continued partnership and generosity. This support allows us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients and their families right here in our local communities. Together, we’re delivering hope, vital resources, and compassionate care where it’s needed most,” said Heather Morris, Senior Corporate Relations Manager for the American Cancer Society.
The campaign also coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, during which Mirabito will participate in local walks and awareness activities. While the spotlight is often on breast cancer during October, this Round Up initiative benefits patients battling all types of cancer, with funds staying local to help families across our service areas.
As part of its ongoing commitment, Mirabito will also return as the Title Sponsor of the Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball Tournament this December for the second year, raising money for the American Cancer Society.
Mirabito encourages customers to stop into their neighborhood store or scan the QR code at the pumps to “round up” in support of this important cause. Together, we can make a difference, and we thank our loyal customers for continuing to join us in our mission of supporting our communities.
