On Saturday, May 4th, Trevor Proper participated in the 6th annual Run 4 the Hills For First Responders! run/walk to raise money for Hero Fund America. Proper and his team completed the 4-mile run/walk in full firefighter turnout gear, making the race particularly difficult.
Hero Fund America recognizes and honors emergency response organizations, providing grant money to further the education, training and life-saving equipment needs for first responders. The organization was established in response to the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013 and has since supported EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement Agencies.
Proper, who is the store manager at Mirabito Convenience Store #71 West Oneonta, also devotes his time as a volunteer firefighter. We want to thank Proper for his service and dedication to the Otego Volunteer Fire Department. We’re proud to have exceptional people like Proper on the Mirabito team.
